` Dornier 217-E / Messerschmitt 328 ´
Resembling a mistel, this kit represents a trial more suited to the concept of the führungsmaschine.
A bomber that carries its' own fighter escort.

The do217 is quite an impressive beast *note the cowling on the right.... ignore their alignment notches and cut your own.. Or suffer the same fate
Small and of few parts... But it gives the whole kit great dimension ...... Things to watch out for... The alignment notches in the engine cowlings are way off... I picked this up too late, one of the cowlings was glued on solid, and couldn't be fixed.
The underside glazing is an undersized fit. The fuselage aligns at each end but not the middle etcetera etcetera...
This is an Airfix kit, it's cheap, it's clunky, and it wont fit together properly.
You have to actually make it fit together.
This kit required a lot of filler to fix the fuselage. There are some minor dornier 217 features missing, which can be scratch built and applied. .
